I have the same issue and as you will see its got to be linked to the auto rotation hardware/driver. There is a bit of a short term work around
- Plug in an external USB keyboard it will work
- Plug in an external screen and it too will work and be the correct way up!!!
- Click on right click on desktop and select Display Settings.
- Click the "Lock rotation of this display"
- You will notice that the Orientation then becomes enabled and on mine it said "Landscape (Flipped)". You can change this to Landscape and click apply and your touch screen will go back to the correct rotation.
As soon as you switch back on the auto rotation feature it all goes horribly wrong again.....at least this gets you to a point where you can upload all your data to OneDrive without doing a headstand.
