How do I change my main account email during set up?

While setting up my new surface pro 9, I made a typo when entering my email address. Now I can't finish set up and it keeps asking me to verify my identity to log in. I am not sure how to correct this if I can't log in. Tried to add another account and demote the initial set up email from administrator, but it still wants me to verify identity and won't let me finish start up

    Hello,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

The current situation is: when you turn on your new Surface Pro 9 for the first time, you need to enter the OOBE stage to configure the account and related settings. However, the account email address you entered is incorrect and you cannot receive the verification information.

To quickly solve this problem, you can refer to the following method to temporarily skip the Microsoft account verification stage, use the "******@thankyou.com" account, leave the password blank and press Enter to enter the next step.

This will take you directly to the next step and thus to the desktop.

After entering the desktop, you will log in with the local account Administrator by default. You can open the Start menu - Settings - Account, select "Switch to Microsoft Account" here and use the correct account to complete the authentication to bind this Surface.

If you encounter any problem during operation, please don't worry and leave us a message at any time.

Thank you for your patience and understanding!

    Regards,
