Hi Barb,
Thank you for responding. I have used the disk reader on 3 different laptops (the Surface, HP Pavilion and Toshiba). I plugged the drive into each of the computer's USB port. The disk reader comes with instructions: "please don't use our floppy disk drive through USB hub and USB extension cable, because most of these items in the market cannot provide sufficent power to the drive, your computer will not reconize the drive or stop working when you use it through the USB hub or USB extension cable.
All 3 computers recognize the drive and provide a list of the files (jpgs), but I cannot copy and paste them to my computer or open some of them with either photo viewer or XNViewMP (another suggested photo app). Some of them will not copy. I receive an error message "An unexpected error is keeping you from copying the file. If you continue to receive this error, you can use the error code to search for help with this problem. Error 0x800706F9: The disk media is not recognized. It may not be formatted."
I researched the error code and found this:

Photos were taken from 1999-2002. I do not have a working Windows 95 computer.
Any other thoughts?
Thanks.
Sharon
