Hold down the power button for30 seconds until the SP6 turns off, then press the
power button to turn back on. If this does not fix it, it is likely you need to
exchange your Surface.
Microsoft Surface Pro 6 loses the current time
I have a Surface Pro 6 that loses the current time when I power it off. Is there a CMOS battery inside the tablet? I have read there isn't a CMOS battery. So how do I fix this where the tablet keeps the current time?

2020-03-11T18:47:12+00:00 Hi Robert (RRaymond)"),
Thank you for reaching out Microsoft Community. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you.
Did this happen after updates? Is the time still appears in the Task Bar but not the correct one? To initially troubleshoot this issue, what I can recommend is to check if the date and time in UEFI Settings is set incorrectly and after checking it in UEFI, I also would like you to check it in Control Panel.
To access UEFI Settings :
Check this link for instruction : https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4023531/surface-how-to-use-surface-uefi. Go to Date and Time and change the current date that shows in UEFI if necessary. Once done, press Exit and select Restart Now. Then, check the current time that appears in the right bottom part of the Task Bar.
To access Control Panel:
Type Control Panel on the search box next to the Windows icon and open it. Select Clock, Language and Region, then choose date and time and configured it if necessary.
