Anyone else suffering from a SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION BSOD loop? I've now restored my Surface Book three times but it just keeps coming back

Only an issue since the Fall Update

    Hi,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We understand that this may be causing inconvenience on your end.

The System Service Exception is a stop error that can occur if a problem causes your Surface to shut down or restart unexpectedly. Here's an article you may find useful.

Let us know how it goes. We want to make sure this issue is well attended. Cheers.

I am aware of this. I have reset my Surface 3 or 4 times but the issue returns after a few hours.

I was wondering if many other users had the same issue or if it could be a hardware fault with my Surface.

It seems to be associated with the Fall Update - I would be surprised (but not that much) if the Fall Update was a big issue for a Microsoft product...

We are aware of some members getting the same issue. It seems to be associated with the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update.

Given this situation, we'd like to ask you to download and run Windows 10 Media Creation Tool. This would override the existing OS, but will not delete your files. This would simply replace all possible faulty drivers with the good one.

    Keep us in the loop.

Do you have more information on exactly what is causing the issue?

I have already re-installed in a number of ways

    1. When 1709 was first released I forced the update using the update tool but when I started getting BSOD I used the tool to reinstall 1703
    2. I allowed the 1709 update to come through the normal Windows Update process
    3. After a few weeks I noticed the pen had stopped working - I rebooted and the BSOD ret
    4. I did a resets "from the cloud" , but after all the updates were installed the BSOD returned
    5. I dida resets "keeping my files" ,  but after all the updates were installed the BSOD returned
    6. I have now done another reset "deleting everything" and I am monitoring the situation

Will using the Media creation tool do anything different?

We strongly suggest that you try this out. We would appreciate if you could give us a feedback if it solved your concern.
