    Hello Maisy,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I understand that you're having trouble charging your Surface Slim Pen 2. I am here to help and let us both isolate this issue.

    • Is there a chance for you to try charging the pen with other accessory such us another Surface type cover or the Surface Slim pen charger? This would help us determine if the problem is with the pen or the type cover itself.
    • Which Surface device did you use the pen with?

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Make sure that the pen is properly connected to the charging dock.
    2. Reset the Surface Slim Pen 2 by pressing and holding the top button for 7 seconds until the LED light flashes.
    3. Restart your Surface device and try charging the pen again.
    4. Check for firmware update:
      1. Place your pen in the charging area.
      2. Select StartSettingsWindows UpdatesCheck for updates, then install any available updates.
      3. Keep your accessory connected until the update finishes. You might need to restart your PC.

For other troubleshooting guide, see Fix problems with charging Surface Slim Pen - Microsoft Support.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards,

    Lavenia
