Surface pen driver compatible with XP-Pen 22E Pro

Hi guys,

First off, I'm loving the Surface lineup. I've owned a SP4 since early 2016, despite its bugs, is still a device i bring with me everywhere i go.

On to the issue:

I recently purchased an XP-Pen 22E Pro which is similar to a Wacom Cintiq. The problem is there is a compatibility clash. When I have my XP-Pen driver installed, my SP4 pen's pressure sensitivity goes out the window.

That said, on the installed Surface app, it still reads my pressure, but on Photoshop, the Surface Pen pressure does not work.

I've contacted XP-Pen and they say they are unable to solve it on their end, so I'm asking if you guys can resolve it on your side.

It would certainly be appreciated if you guys can come up with a solution that doesn't involve uninstalling/reinstalling drivers everytime I switch between the XP-Pen and the Surface Pen.

Thank you and I look forward to your assistance.

Best wishes,

Billy Yong

try the special Surface Wintab driver from

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49498 instead of the

ones from the vendor (uninstall vendor's)

don't know if you need 32 or 64 bit, but both are available

    Wintab_x32_1.0.0.20.zip

    Wintab_x64_1.0.0.20.zip

    Hi Barb,

So the tl;dr is it didn't work.

    1. First off I had my wintab uninstalled. Kept my XP-pen driver intact.
    2. Downloaded both wintab 32 and 64.
    3. Installed both. Moved wintab 32's .dll to system32.
    4. Rebooted.
    5. Now both pressure sensitivity is gone for Surface and XP-pen.
    6. Uninstalled XP-Pen driver. Pressure sensitivity on Surface none.
    7. Repaired Wintab drivers.
    8. Rebooted.
    9. Works on Surface again.

Have to rush off overseas for a couple of days so I won't be able to further experiment.

    Thanks!

actually, I asked you to uninstall the XP-Pen drivers and install wintab driver.

restart between the uninstall of the XP-Pen and wintab. Restart after installing

wintab. do not move drivers around manually. if this does not work, you need to

open a support case with the XP-Pen folks.
