iCloud Windows app on Windows Surface Pro X on Windows 11

Hi all

Wondering if anyone (preferably Microsoft) have an update on the iCloud Windows app on the Windows Surface Pro X (the one that runs on the ARM64 processor).

I have the app installed and it works for iCloud Picture & Files, but it doesn't work for iCloud Password or iCloud bookmark sync with Chrome.

iCloud password in both Edge and Chrome bring up an empty dialogue when I click on the browser Extension.

The iCloud bookmarks extension just says "Sign in to iCloud to use iCloud Bookmarks." even though it's all installed and setup correctly.

Also - when I load the app interface it comes up with an error message that it can't connect to Outlook. When I clear this three or so times then the client lets me use it.

I've tried setting all the components to run emulating Windows 8 mode (both for current and all users) and I've also tried the same with Safe Emulation...

It'd be great to get these issues cleaned up.

I'm running a standard Windows Pro X on pre-installed Windows 11 with a full subscription to Office 365 and associated apps installed and I downloaded and installed the iCloud app from the Microsoft Store app.

Many thanks

Justyn

    Hi JustynWaby,

Greetings! Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I understand that you'd like to be able to run the iCloud for Windows without any issues. As we know the Surface Pro X is a device that is capable of running 32-bit apps. Apple have phased out 32-Bit compatibility for apps as they mainly focused on 64-Bit compatibility. In this case, please reach out to the Customer Support of Apple for further assistance.

See: Deploying, managing, and servicing Surface Pro X - Surface.
