Hi Jeremy,
What type of Monitor is it? I'd have to check the specs but I have used a Mini Display Port to Mini Display Port Cable to connect to a Surface to a Mac Monitor.
Regards,
Linnell

Thunderbolt 27in. Is that the cable I need?
Thanks.
Hi Jeremy
Mini Display Port to Mini Display Port Cable will not work with the Thunderbolt 27" Thunderbolt displays will not receive input from Mini DisplayPort.
You would need a switch in between an example would be 2x Kanex Snap X Mini Display Port Switch box.
Other wise the answer is no they are not compatible. Thunderbolt proprietary to Apple.
