I don't know what S.P.6 has for ram but what I read was it has 8gb ram with a i5 cpu.

I think of these devices as a tablet/phone devices. I Saw the new S.P.9 have "pretty" colors now too haha. Windows 11 is backwards compatable. The one issuse with S.P.9 is that it is set as a processor_architecture as a [ARM] Device commonly seen on android devices|tablet devices|phone devices. Windows XP is a 32bit / 64bit system. If you deside to trading/ selling the S.P.9. I would try for an i7 cpu and a minimum of 16gb ram. If your set on Touch screen they call these 2-in-1 computers now. I know the S.P is around the cost of a gamer laptop. I recently got a MSI Katana its amazing but the downfalls is no touch screen and the black color.

Hello, the suface pro 6 had 16gb of ram and an I7 processor. The Pro 6 has 16gb of ram and the 12 core i7 processor. Don't understand why it is running so slowly in virtualbox.

Hi im back had to get cat snacks. Yes. Technically it should be able to run at least 50% speed wich is half of the specs of the computer and the XP Windows is simple. It should be "ok" but it may get down to the processor_architecture. The ARM devices are newer with a little less support. I saw an Emulator on the MS store but that is not the correct Windows version. Should check the virtual settings anyways but I bet you already set it. I don't know if there is a BIOS setting for VM or not in a S.P.9 .

    ctrl+r

    cmd.exe

    C:\Windows\System32\OptionalFeatures.exe

check the check box virtual mashine platfourm.

Also If you are using vurtualbox.org some times the older release versions may run better it can be a hit/miss sometimes & sometimes it don't work. There are clues to if it is working properly on there fourms.
