Hello,
in an RDS production environement the https://apps.company.net/RDWeb/webclient/ failed to start sporadically.
The Website tries to load but no login will be displayed, even not after minutes or hours.
We tested with different browsers and private modes also. Same behavior.
after refreshing the site the login page will load and RDS published apps can be started fine.

Because the RDS farm is hosting an application accessed international and of security concerns of their customers /webclient is the prefered way to access the application.
It is still unconvenient to endusers not to be able to logon after accessing the address for the remote app.

deloyment details:
Windows Server 2016
redundant RDCB, RDGW, LoadBalancer, multible RDSH

I also attached screenshots of the Edge Browser message when the problem occurs.
Will reproduce the failure with other browsers also, to check if verbose output is telling the same error message.

Kind regards for suggestions how to troublsshoot further.

    Hello,

    <this is a solution>

    as assumed the problem of not loading the /webapps page konsequently, has depend on the LoadBalancer.
    With LB support we figured out, that Rewrite support must be turned off.
    Rewrite support for 80 to 443 causing browsers (basically in private mode) to not load the page.

    Regards,
    Bernhard
