    Hi Christopher Gillis

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

It appears that you are having trouble installing Cortex XDR 8.1.143337 on your Surface Pro9 due to compatibility issues.

Let’s work together in finding the best resolution to this issue. To get started we will ask a few questions to further Isolate the issue.

    • Are you using Surface Pro9 Intel version or the 5G version?
    • When you tried to install the Cortex XDR 8.1.143337 did you find any error message?
    • Aside from the version 8.1 did you also try to install the 8.2 version and have same issue?
    • What is the OS version on your Surface Pro9?

To troubleshoot this issue, I would recommend the following steps:

    1. Check if your device meets the minimum system requirements for Cortex XDR 8.1.1.43337. You can find the system requirements on the Cortex XDR documentation page.
    2. Try running the installation as an administrator. Right-click on the installation file and select "Run as administrator".
    3. Disable again any third-party security software temporarily and try installing Cortex XDR again.
    4. Since you reset the Surface device. Check if there are any pending Windows updates and install them before attempting to install Cortex XDR.

If you need further assistance with this issue, I recommend reaching out to the manufacturer or a technical support team for further guidance.

Please tell me how it goes.

    Kind regards,

    Christopher.
