Backspace key causes screen to jump when typing in text box on Facebook, how to stop it?

Is it a Surface issue or a Facebook issue?

I have the same issue, and the only place it happens is Facebook. It started about a month ago, and at first, it only happened when using Edge, but after a couple weeks, it started doing it on Chrome too. Now, I am using Firefox, and things work normally there...so far.
Update. While trying to cap images for examples on Chrome, I found it happens when "Zoom" is at 80% or above, but it stops happening at 75% or below.
On Chrome, it starts happening at 110%.
I never noticed a relationship to the zoom level before, but it solves the problem for me.

This absolutely worked for me. This page jump thing has been driving me crazy for a while now, and this fixed it for me. Until FB makes a permanent fix, I will be doing this on every post or comment. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!!

Thank you for posting your inquiry here in Microsoft Community, KathyHoover1.

Just to confirm, when you press the backspace key to delete something on the text box, the screen on Facebook scrolls uncontrollably?

I suggest you try to reproduce this issue to other website like Instagram, Twitter or in Microsoft Apps like Microsoft Word or OneNote and if the issue does not happen, this is a Facebook specific issue.

Let me know how this goes with other websites and apps.

    Kathy,

I've seen two other reports of this in the general Windows forum. They report that it is fixed in a beta version of Edge. It only appears to happen on Facebook. You should use the Feedback Hub App to file a problem report while using the browser and allow the app to capture this problem/reproduce it while using the app.
