- Firstly, have you tried charging the Slim Pen 2 with the USB-C charging cable? If not, please try charging the pen using the cable and see if it charges. Or try charging the pen to another Surface pro type cover and see if problem persists.
- Secondly, you mentioned that the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit showed that your Windows update has a problem. I would recommend running the Windows Update troubleshooter again and checking if any third-party antivirus or firewall software is blocking the update process.
- Would you mind sharing a screenshot of the error?
- What build version of Windows your device is currently running?
Testing the pen to charge with another charging accessory would help us determine if the problem is with the pen or the charging base on the keyboard itself.
