Recently, I have noticed white/light gray spots on my Surface Pro 4. It’s like an image burn, but it’s random and is not in the shape of anything.

I gave not had it out or used it in about three weeks or so. What could this be, and gow can i get it fixed?

    Hi,

This is most likely a display issue. To isolate the concern, we would like to ask additional information.

    • When did the white spots first appear?
    • How many white spots are there on the screen?
    • Are the white spots on the same location or scattered?
    • Is there any damage or cracks on the screen?
    • Do the white spots appear in a specific app or are they constant?
    • Have you installed all the available Windows and Surface updates on your device?
    • Would it be possible to send us a screenshot?

We look forward to your response so we could assist you accordingly.

    • When did the white spots first appear?
      • Last night 1/1/2018.
    • How many white spots are there on the screen?
      • There is one spot, and some streaks.
    • Are the white spots on the same location or scattered?
      • Scattered.
    • Is there any damage or cracks on the screen?
      • No, there are no cracks or other damage.
    • Do the white spots appear in a specific app or are they constant?
      • Constant.  They are better seen on any dark screen like when watching a movie, or on a dark colored desktop/background.
    • Have you installed all the available Windows and Surface updates on your device?
      • As far as I know, yes.
    • Would it be possible to send us a screenshot?
      • I will be able to take a picture of the screen later on tonight.

I made a PowerPoint presentation of one slide with a black background.  Those are the spots and streaks.  They just appeared.  I was using the Surface Pro 4 without any issues two or three weeks ago.  I put it in the case I bought for it.  It has a blue keyboard cover.  I used it last night, saw the streaks, and made the post.

Right now, I just got a Windows feature update message.  I'm going to run that, but here are the streaks.
