Not all Surface devices support this setting. Go to Settings, Bluetooth & devices >Touch. (It is not available for SP7 and I don not know if it will ever be implemented in SP7 devices).
Surface Pro - Does not wake the screen on touch
Hello,
The device I'm using has a setting that turns off the screen after 15 minutes and I want it to stay like that.
However, once I touch the screen, it does not "wake the screen". It does when I connect the mouse and move it.
All drivers are up to date as well as Windows updates.
Microsoft Windows 10 Pro is installed on the device.
Any ideas why this would not work?
Thank you!

2023-04-26T15:34:02+00:00 Hey Barb,
Thank you for the response.
This used to work before, I was able to wake the screen with no problem.
I think nothing changed in the meantime.
Also, this is a Surface Pro 1796 m3
Also, the setting you showed is on WIN11 and this device is running WIN10 - unable to update for now.Any other advice?
