Surface Pro - Camera "steamy"

I've got a new surface pro 7, (second one in a matter of weeks) and the front facing camera isn't working correctly. For about a week now, the picture quality has been really really poor, where it looks like i'm in a steam room with a hazy screen. Anyone else every experienced this and know how to fix it? I love my surface and it's workability, but I've had three in the last few months that have needed replacing and i'm getting to the end of my patience with them. Cheers

    Hi MelB136,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Community and posting your inquiry.

In order to get a better view on what's causing the image quality to get fuzzy, we suggest the following:

    • Check if there are dust particles inside the glass cover of the front camera.

    • Try to take a video and check if the issue also happens when using the front camera through a video.

    • Run the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit and check for Windows update

    • Reset the camera app. Go to settings > apps & features > look  for the camera app > reset

Please respond to this thread to let me know how the issue progresses. Similarly, if you have more questions, please inform me by replying to this post.

    Kind regards,

    John Neil_J
