How to check if Surface Pro 4 SSD is broken

Ive got a few months old SP4 which suddenly doesn't boot anymore. I've tried hard resets, every described recovery instructions on MS's website, bootable USB and tried installing a new Windows 10 via Wifi (Cloud) and USB. Nothing works and I can't seem to figure out why.

I did try DISKPART running from CMD prompt today and I can't find any other disk then my USB flash drive I had inserted to try to recover my Surface. My guess is that the SSD disk is broken or not working.  Any other steps I can try prior to getting a return authorization from the vendor?

definitely sounds broken. if you are in the US, go to the closest physical retail Microsoft Store and they will exchange (for a refurb) there. You can inspect the refurb if you go to a store as well.

If not in the US, contact support https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13948/global-customer-service-phone-numbers for an exchange.

Sounds like you are still under warranty and would suggest to contact customer support for a warranty replacement.

A SSD card will either work or completely vanish and no in between like a standard hard disk.  All of your data stored on it will be gone as well but what was saved on OneDrive will still be on the onedrive.com web storage.

There is no fix other than replacing the tablet.
