I have the same issue. No idea what has broken or how to fix it or work around it.
Surface Duo Charging Port
Has anyone had issues with the charger not fitting into the charging port? Mine was working fine and today I tried to plug into charge and the charger would not go in the port. Tried two different chargers, same issue.
Seems as though something in the port shifted, broke, or whatever, don't really know. Didn't want to force it especially in light of comments about cracking/breaking around the charging port. Locked into the phone through ATT, can't exchange or refund. Has a warranty, but the insurance gets it to me sooner but costs $149.
Not my first issue, first phone the right screen went yellow. ATT exchanged. this will be my 3rd phone!
Lots of bugs, apps freezing, camera not working, etc. Hope updates to fix bugs come out soon. Few accessories are available. Great concept but lots of issues. Would not recommend getting this phone until bugs are worked out.

2020-11-20T14:24:28+00:00 There was no fix for mine. Had to use my Asurion insurance. It also has a year warranty that can be used to replace it. Seems the device is too new for phone repair company's to fix it. Such an expensive phone to have this kind of issue. Very disappointing. Microsoft should have tested more before releasing and I should have read more reviews before buying.

MS told me it wasn't covered as it was related to a crack in the case. Did they replace yours? I just have the standard warranty.
From Microsoft:
If your device is damaged or screen is cracked
Physical damage is not covered under the terms of the Standard Limited Warranty. Unless covered by an Accidental Damage Coverage, physical damage will require a paid out-of-warranty exchange. If we receive your device and it has physical damage, it will be returned to you without service. Please go back and select Cracked Screen or Physical Damage to see if you may be eligible for out-of-warranty service for a fee.

2021-03-14T18:41:35+00:00 I have this issue myself with my second model. My first had a cracked usb port which I blame solely on the charger supplied in the box and the bumper. I went out and bought a Samsung USB C cable due to the thinner plug and it works better though I'm still careful. I did notice though the Samsung cable seems to catch something on this second duo which wasn't an issue at all with my first. I rotate the cable and sometimes it'll go in with no issue. Very odd.
