Hi and Thank you in advance for the help,

My surface studio has a half black screen and I am not able to open settings, task manager, or device manager. Restarting does not work.

Can you hold down the power button for 30 seconds and then restart normally and see if this clears the problem? If it doesn't, can you boot to the UEFI and see if the issue is there as well?

    1. Shut down your Surface.
    2. Press and hold the volume-up button on your Surface and at the same time, press and release the power button.
    3. When you see the Surface logo, release the volume-up button.
The UEFI menu will display within a few seconds.

If you see this in the UEFI, it is a hardware issue and you need to contact support for an exchange. You can use a phone to contact support https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4051701/global-customer-service-phone-numbers - ask for Surface support. Use the phone numbers listed under *For Business Users* for your location (these also work for consumers/home users).
