I've had Surface Pro 6 since January 2019. This is my main computer and I would like to get this solved. I've noticed a significant drop when using on battery.

Current Capacity: 22,180 mWh

Cycle Count: 368

What I've tried:

  • Surface Diagnostic Toolkit.
  • Uninstall and reinstall battery driver.
  • Restored my computer.

If it were me, I would not be satisfied with that degradation. Especially if you did a full wipe and reimage from the downloadable recovery image https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/surfacerecoveryimage   .

The thing that concerns me the most is

You can try recalibrating the battery - https://www.windowscentral.com/how-calibrate-battery-your-windows-10-laptop has a decent tutorial.

I tried recalibrating but my battery now shows a full charge capacity of 8,620 mWh.

Sadly, it looks like the battery is failing. If it is still under warranty, I'd call Microsoft Surface Support and ask for a manager and get it exchanged. You can use a phone to contact support https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4051701/global-customer-service-phone-numbers - ask for Surface support. Use the phone numbers listed under *For Business Users* for your location (these also work for consumers/home users).

It is eventually going to fail, based on what I am seeing, and you will need to decide whether to spend the money for a refurb out of warranty exchange or use the $$ towards something newer.

    Sorry for the bad news..
