Hi Christine,
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
I'm Hahn and I'm here to help you with your concern.
If your Surface Go is not displaying a keyboard to enter the network security key during the reset process, you can try a few different approaches:
Use an External Keyboard:
- If you have a Surface Go Signature Type Cover or USB/Bluetooth keyboard, connect it to your Surface Go.
- For USB keyboards, you might need a USB-C adapter if your Surface Go doesn’t have a standard USB port.
Use WPS Button on Router (if available):
- Check your router to see if it has a WPS button. If it does, you can press the WPS button on the router and then select the WPS option on your Surface Go to connect without needing to enter the network security key.
- If you have access to another computer, you can create a USB recovery drive for your Surface Go. This drive will allow you to access the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) and reset your device. Creating and using a USB recovery drive for Surface - Microsoft Support
I hope this helps. If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.
Your Sincerely
