    Hello ssobczyk,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

From your description of the problem, it is clear that the keyboard you are using should be the one in the screenshot below:

But it usually comes with a mouse:

Does the mouse currently have this problem? If the mouse works properly, it proves that the Bluetooth function of the Surface Studio 2 is not abnormal, and the issue is obviously specific to the Surface keyboard.

I noticed you changed the battery on your keyboard. In this state, invert your keyboard and there will be a Bluetooth-marked button on the back near the Esc key, which is the pairing button for this Surface keyboard. Hold your keyboard close to the Surface Studio 2, then press and hold this Bluetooth pairing button for 5 seconds to try to pair it back with your Surface Studio 2.

In theory you can see a device called the Microsoft Surface Keyboard on the "Add a device" page. If the keyboard does not have any hardware faults, click on it, you will directly see a pairing code, press the corresponding number on the keyboard to complete the pairing, and then it is ready to use:

However, if you find that the device name is not displayed here, this means that the keyboard may have a hardware failure and needs to be repaired. I can direct you to the Surface support team through the Surface App. The Surface Studio's screen is touchable, so it works without a keyboard:

Open the Surface App (usually built into your Surface device, or you can download it from the Microsoft Store if you don't have one) and follow the procedure below:

    1. Click "Help and Support" and then click "Get Help".
    2. Briefly describe your problem in the text box, such as "The keyboard that comes with the Surface Studio 2 is no longer paired", and then press Enter.
    3. Click "Contact Support" at the bottom.
    4. Select "Technical Support" and click "Confirm".
    5. You will see "Chat support" or "phone support" options, please contact them during working hours, you will get one-to-one support services.

I wish you all the best.

    Best Regards,

Mitchell | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
