Can I connect two 5k2k external monitors to the Surface Laptop Studio 2 at their native resolution (5120x2160)?

I am considering getting the Surface Laptop Studio 2, but I need to be able to connect two 5k2k external monitors to it at their native resolution of 5120x2160. I am ok dropping the refresh rate on both monitors down to 30 Hz as this is for office use.

Is this setup compatible?

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

The Surface Laptop Studio 2 has two USB-C ports that support DisplayPort 1.4. However, it is important to note that the Surface Laptop Studio 2's graphics card may not be able to handle two 5k2k monitors at their native resolution. It is not possible to connect two 5k2k monitors to the Surface Laptop Studio 2 and run them at their native resolution of 5120x2160 simultaneously.

You can connect one 5k2k monitor to the Surface Laptop Studio 2 and run it at its native resolution of 5120 x 3200 at 120Hz. Alternatively, you can connect two monitors to the Surface Laptop Studio 2 USB-C ports, or you may use a docking station that supports dual displays. You may use the Surface dock 2 which supports up to two 4k displays. You may find more information here Identify your Surface Dock and features - Microsoft Support.
