Troubleshoot VM running Windows with Azure tools

Hi All.

Time to time an Azure VM with Remote Desktop Session Host (aka Terminal Server) role just stops responding.

All users get disconnected and the VM itself is not accessible neither via RDP nor by means of installed RMM tools.

All shared folders becomes inaccessible as well.

The only way to revive it is merely restart from Azure portal.

I checked Event Viewer many times and spent considerable amount of hours digging in Application and System logs but nothing.

Is there any tool on Azure portal under a VM that is worth to set up to get some insight of what might be the root cause of such an issue?

Thanks.

Log Analytics is part of Azure Monitor and allows you to collect, analyze, and act on telemetry data from your Azure resources. You can create custom queries to analyze logs and identify patterns that might indicate issues. It's possible to set up alert rules based on specific conditions that trigger when your VM's performance metrics exceed certain thresholds.
