Is upgrading the Surface Pro 3 to windows 10 still free?

I recently started using my Surface Pro 3 since I bought it 4 years ago. I know Microsoft offered a free upgrade from Windows 8.1 Pro to Windows 10. I am wondering if i'm still able to get the free upgrade in 2018? I missed the free upgrade period during the time and now i'm looking to see if i can still upgrade free. I would appreciate it if I can get more information regarding a possible free upgrade thank you.

    Hi ThaHighLife,

    Unfortunately the free upgrade was only available for a period of time.

    You can upgrade to Windows 10 from the following website: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-downlo...

    You will need to download the media creation tool and run through it. It will ask you a few questions like if you want to retain your data/applications.

    Once it upgrades, you will need to input a product key to license the software (otherwise you will see a Windows unlicensed watermark on your screen).
