Dictate messages to text, not voice

When I had my Android phone, I was able to dictate my text messages to text.  This was an invaluable feature.  It seems that Duo can only translate to voice which isn't always practical.  Please add this feature or let me know how I can dictate to text, not voice within the messaging function.

    I found your question, then played around with a feature. I was able to locate the microphone on the keyboard. If you press and hold the comma on the keyboard it will activate Google voice for speech to text dictation. I used the feature to type this message. I hope it helps you! 

    (I tested it in the messages app by starting a new chat with my mother, dictating, then sending the message)
