Both USB 3 ports wont work simultaneously

Hi ,

I recently purchased surface book. I was using mouse-without borders so I have connected my USB  Bluetooth receiver to the surface book so i can connect a wireless keyboard and mouse and it works. Now i wanted to connect  Ethernet so I  purchased USB 3 to Ethernet adapter from Microsoft. It works but now my wireless mouse wont.

It only works if i remove the USB to Ethernet adapter from other USB port, it's super annoying to know that only 1 USB 3 port will work at a time?

It doesn't make sense!!!

Please help me out here.

    Question.. why use an external Bluetooth dongle? Your surface has bluetooth built in. Is this an issue where the program won't work with the internal connection?

    I have Logitech Wireless keyboard and Mouse, the USB3 dongle( Bluetooth receiver) came with them . So I am using that to use my keyboard and mouse .

    The problem is is I disconnect the USB3 to enternet adepter , My wireless keyboard and mouse works.

    If I connect both USB3 devices ( 1 with USB3 Ethernet adaptor and another ESB wireless receiver) only Ethernet works?

    Have you tried pairing the Logitech gear with the internal Bluetooth? Are you sure it is Bluetooth? Can you please try?

    I just checked Logitech's website and found that the USB dongle works on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi  not Bluetooth. So connecting these wireless mouse and keyboard from Surface book's internal Bluetooth out of question here .

    So my problem still persists that only one USB3 port works at a time not both same time?

    Ok, there is sometimes a conflict between 2.4GHz devices and USB 3.0. and usually we see it with 2.4GHz WiFi. This is likely your issue. see https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/io/universal-serial-bus/usb3-frequency-interference-paper.html there may not be a good solution to this one.
