Pairing two different bluetooth keyboard/mouse to same Surface Pro 4

I have two separate Bluetooth keyboard and mouse devices, one for work and one for home, utilizing them on the same Surface Pro 4 (Windows 10).  It seems that I have to pair the devices each time I work at home or in the office.  Is there a way to have both sets to remain paired?

Are you referring to pairing or connecting?  Once paired devices should stay paired.  A connection  is established each time a Bluetooth device is within range - typically a few feet.

Keep in mind that Bluetooth connections are limited to 7 devices.  The pairing upper limit is unspecified and each device has its own limit (7 or more).
