surface pen registration and location

I am trying to register my surface pen and link it my devices. I had to purchase another pen because I couldn't locate my original pen. The "locate my pen" button doesn't seem to work for my old pen or this new pen that I just purchased. Are the accessories no longer able to be located or is this update that is being worked on? Please any help or information about this will be helpful. Thank you.

    We have this previous here with similar concern on the Find my pen feature. Please see this post to try the steps provided and see if this helps: Surface Pen Find My Device No Location data available Unavailable or - Microsoft Community.
