Surface Pro Wireless Charging

During my workflow i tend to roam around and so does my surface pro 4. Because of that it would be awesome if I could charge my SP4 wirelessly, but my recent research didn't bring up any useful piece of technology. But wouldn't it be possible to implement a coil inside the type cover and use a big mouse pad, which also has a coil implemented and is connected to the grid, to charges the SP4 ?

Or is it even possible to charge the SP4 through the bottom port ?

Right now, nobody has wireless charging capability in their machines but are looking into doing it in the future.  It is a feature that cannot be just "added" but could work in the fashion you mentioned, BUT!  The keyboard would be too thick and not practical.

For the bottom port - NO.  There had been a battery pack/keyboard for the Surface 2 and Surface Pro that barely worked and those two machines where the only ones 'wired' internally to take advantage of it.  It worked as a regular keyboard on all other models.

Apple will probably be the first with wireless charging with a future (if not next) model of iPhone.

There are no details available for the Surface Book 2 and the Surface Pro 5 which will soon to be released and probably doubt that they will have it.

3rd party companies may have something out there to add wireless charging via the power port on the Surface Pro 4 much like what a company did with Apple's Magic Mouse (original) where you replaced the battery pack with the wireless battery module and you sat the mouse on a 'hotplate' to charge it up.  It didn't work too good and threw mine in the trash.
