Powerbeats A2015 stereo audio not working with the microphone

When I try and use the microphone (which is AG audio) it doesn't work with stereo mode, which means it is really loud, even on the lowest volume it will go. And when I connect stereo, I can't hear anything.

I have checked with apple support, and they said it might be a compatibility issue(I have the surface pro 8), and said to check with the supplier(Microsoft's) Support team.

    Hi 14sirs,

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community. We appreciate for sharing your concern to us. I'll be asking questions to help us isolate the problem.

May I know what build version of Windows are you on?

Was this first time connecting this earbud to your Surface device?

Is there a chance for you to connect the earbud to another Windows device and see if problem persist?

What troubleshooting steps you have tried so far?

For the meantime, you may run the following steps below.

Run Surface Diagnostic Toolkit and make sure to install all pending updates including optional updates if available.

See: Fix common Surface problems using the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit (microsoft.com)

To check for updates: Go to Settings >> Update and Security >> Windows updates >> Check for updates

Verify that stereo is selected for the Bluetooth device to ensure the best quality audio. To do this:

    1. On the right side of the taskbar, click Volume, and then select Manage audio devices to choose a playback device.
    2. Select the Bluetooth device, and make sure the Stereooption is selected. (The lower-audio quality option is Hands-Free.)
    3. If stereo is not available as an option, remove the device in Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices, and then add the device again. Then, check the Volume panel again to make sure that stereo is selected.

Check Device manager for any driver error for Bluetooth and remove the hidden drivers and then pair the earbuds again and see if it works.

Open Device Manager >> Click on View and click on Show hidden devices >> expand Bluetooth category and uninstall all the greyed-out devices. Then restart your Surface.

To further troubleshoot your device, see Fix Bluetooth problems in Windows - Microsoft Support.

Let me know how it goes.

    Kind regards,

    Lavenia

You can select both together, but they don't work together - I found this issue also happened on my old surface pro 6

Knowing that you have test the earbuds to another Surface and issue persist. Then it is more likely a compatibility issue between the Surface and the earbuds.
