My Surface 3 suddenly developed yellow-brown spots all around the screen edges. What should I do?

My Surface 3 is about an year old. It has suddenly developed yellow-brown spots around the screen edges, and a few spots around the centre. Occasionally, they are not so visible, and sometimes they are very pronounced. When the device is switched off, there is no visible spot on the screen. The spots on the right side are much more pronounced, especially in the bottom-right corner.

Please guide me on how to proceed further to resolve the issue.

    Hi Anupam,

This issue can be caused by offgassing from the oxidized layer in the touch interface, which in turn can cause discoloration along one side of the screen. Can you send us a screenshot of the issue?

    Regards.

Thanks Emmylou. I got in touch with MS Support Deutschland. They are handling my case.
