Intel wifi 6 AX201 not working

Hi,

I have a windows surface laptop, out of warranty.

The Intel wifi 6 AX201 is not working. It switches between error code 10 and 43.

I have googled and tried the following:

  • roll back driver
  • unsintall driver
  • update driver
  • turning on/off while uninstalling/updating drivers
  • system file checker (however this hit a snag because it needed to download a file and without internet I cannot do this).
  • installed latest windows updates.

This is starting to become a huge issue as I spend hours trying to get it to work, for it to keep happening.

Is there a permanent solution?

    Hi KGol,

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community. I understand that you are having issues with the Wi-Fi adapter on your Surface Pro 7 where it shows the error code 10 or 43.

Just to confirm though, by doing those steps you mentioned, you are able to get back to work but then after some time, the issue or error occurs again and so you had to perform those steps again, correct?

If yes, we are investigating this issue. Please continue to check Windows Update for Surface driver updates. You can also view the Surface update history page for any new updates: Surface update history - Microsoft Support

    Kind regards,
    Marrion

    Hi Marion,

Yes that is correct. Fixing the issue is not consistent, sometimes it is one step, sometimes all, sometimes repeatedly and for many hours. Once the wifi does work, it will last only for a period of time before the issues reoccurs. Again this is also inconsistent as it may happen after a few minutes, hours, or after powering the laptop on/off. There appears to be no identifiable trigger or solution.
