Deezer - working under lockscreen

Hi

I have a Microsoft Surface RT.  I use the Deeper app. Until the last update it would continue to play music even when under the lock screen. However currently when the lock screen comes on it will play to the end of the song and won't play the next one until the lock screen is taken off.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is anyone aware of how to fix it?

    Sorry to hear you are having trouble with your Surface RT and app use.

    Any pending updates?  Does a full shut down and start (not restart) help with this?  Are you having similar issues with any other apps?  Tried uninstalling and reinstalling this app?  Have you also contacted the developer?

    Apologies for my delayed response.

    There are no updates to run and I have shut down and restarted the machine a couple of times.

    I am not having the same issue with other apps. I have tried reinstalling it but it didn’t seem to make a difference.

    I have not contact the developer yet, although I have looked online to see if there had been any discussion around it (which there hasn’t).

    Have you come across anyone else who has had the issue?

    I have currently stopped the lock screen coming on in an effort to avoid the problem.

    Hi, I have the exact same issue. When I unlock again the app seems to think it is offline if that helps shed any light. It's definitely not a power time out... it's always at the end of that song like the OP said.

    OK, I think I just figured out what's happening here. When I lock the screen by pressing the power button the button is putting the tablet to sleep. Deezer plays until the end of that song and then sleeps.

    If I leave the tablet with a 10 minute on battery sleep timer it ends at the first end of song after 10 minutes.

    Is the only option to change a power plan to prevent the computer from sleeping or can you suggest a better idea/setting option? Should the app be implementing a 'wakelock' that isn't in place??
