We are sorry to learn you receive a notification that your battery is in slow charging mode when using your Surface Book 3 with an external display via the Surface Dock 2. Thanks for taking the time to let us know about this and allowing us to help you out. May we know if this happened previously or has it been this way since you've had this setup?
To troubleshoot the issue, kindly do these steps below:
- Run the power troubleshooter:
Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshooter > look for Power and run its troubleshooter.
- Check for Windows Update:
Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for Updates
Please restart your device to apply the updates.
- Install the latest Surface Dock 2 drivers and firmware.
Visit this page https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=101317 to download and install it.
Make sure to choose the SurfaceDock2_SEMMforDock_Win10_17763_20.054.29469.0.msifile.
