use power cover on surface pro 3

Hello.

Can I use power cover on surface pro 3? Some people say only works as a keyboard and track pad, some others say both keyboard, track pad and extra battery may work.

And the second question is does power cover have backlight?

    Power cover works as a keyboard and trackpad only with the Surface Pro 3.

    It does not have a backlight.

    I would suggest to get the regular 12" keyboard for the Pro 3 which does have a backlight and it form fits the tablet to cover the screen.  Don't waste your money on it - it was designed for the earlier Surface models.
