Broken pen tip cap

Question

Can you purchase replacements for the top pen piece. I have found things for replacing the little black writing tip, but I am talking about the little cone piece in between the tip and the body of the pen. I've only had it for like a month and the little attachments that keep the cone on have broken off. So the tip fell out and the cone completely detached.

Unfortunately, Microsoft does not sell that piece as a replacement part.

Is that something that can be repaired, or will the pen need to replaced?

Same thing happened to me. Really disappointed because it seems purpose built to break so you have to buy a new one if you ever drop it, because of the thin plastic design of the flange, it's bound to break with a single drop on the tip or even setting it down too quickly.
