So, i bought this expensive surface to use on the go.  The apps i used on my old iphone and new galaxy phone are not available in the microsoft store,

My internet and wifi is provided by Xfinity.   I can log in from work or home because i have wireless access there.  I cannot, however, use my surface on the go, as i thought i could, because there is no xfinity wifi in the microsoft store.  Many games and other apps are not available there either.  Had i known this when i purchased, i would not have purchased a surface.

so, tell me how to get online with expensive thing when i am away from home.

https://wifi.xfinity.com/connect-devices.php once you connect at home, you should be able to connect anywhere.

Similar issue here but I have figured out a temporary work around.

Make sure you are selecting 'xfinity' as your on the go hotspot. If you are getting the no internet connectivity symbol or connected, no internet statement (this is my issue constantly), try opening powershell or command line and entering the following command:

    ipconfig /flushdns

Unfortunately, I have to do this constantly, and the xfinity network is the only network I really use outside of my prepay internet and I only use it in 2 to 3 locations so I don't know why it has to constantly be flushed (every single time I connect it seems like)

After flushing the DNS, try disconnecting and reconnecting from the xfinity network.

This is also the only network I have any issues with. If I don't feel like dealing with this pain the behind issue, I have another computer that I connect to the xfinity network (which has no problems connecting, ever, unlike my surface book), and just turn the hotspot on on that.

Now for some reason, a lot of my devices can see the hotspot on the microsoft book, but they cannot connect to it... and I'm still working on figuring that issue out.
