Unsure if this is a scam or a legit refund method?

Hello everyone!

My Microsoft Sculpt keyboard recently stopped working and since it was within warranty, I raised a ticket with Microsoft. As the product is no longer in production, they offered a full refund. However, instead of asking me for details over the email, they said I'd receive an email from ******@e-mail.microsoft.com to complete a microsoft payments central form. They also sent me links to the payment central form should I not receive the email. I am not sure if posting links here is allowed, but here goes:

I have never come across such a method of refund before, and am I am a little sceptical about the authenticity of my entire conversation with Microsoft. I am also attaching a screenshot of their latest email.

Can anyone on here please guide me as to whether this is legit?

Thanks :)

    Hello snackingcomet

     Welcome to Microsoft Community.

It is right to be wary of any process that doesn't make sense.

However, I checked the two links you shared here and they are both from Microsoft and both are true and valid.

But I'm not sure where Microsoft Support you contacted and why they provided you with this refund process. Allow me to provide you with real-time support steps on how to contact the Microsoft Accessories Support team here so you can confirm with them the authenticity of this process:

    1. Use your personal Microsoft account (not your organization account) to access the following links:

    Contact - Microsoft Support

    1. Type Microsoft Sculpt keyboard, press Enter, and click "Contact Support" at the bottom:

    1. Select Technical Support and select the device model you are currently using in Produce family, then click Confirm:

    1. You will see contact options for Chat support and Phone support, please contact them during business hours:

It is recommended that you contact Chat Support so you can easily provide them with links and screenshots.

I wish you all the best.

    Best Regards,
