Horizontal black lines due to overheating

I have my SP7 for a little over a month now. It seems when my surface gets pretty hot, some black horizontal lines appear on the top of my screen. They eventually become white and then disappear. Could the lines eventually stay permanently, or as long as it doesn't get TOO hot they'll disappear? Obviously, not heating the computer is the best solution but still... I feel like it's far from overheating and yet they appear! Thanks in advance for your answers.
