Surface Pro 9 | Signature keyboard compatibility

Hello guys

I bought my first Surface device, Pro 9 (13", i7, 16G/256GB running Windows Home) couple of days back and we are having shortage of Pro 9 signature keyboards here. Can I go with Signature keyboard + pen that is meant for Surface Pro 8? Is the Pro 8 keyboard compatible with Pro 9?

    If it works with SP8, yes. The older typecover for SP7/7+ and older will not work. If it has a slot for the pen, you will be fine.

    Unfortunately I couldn't get hold of it yet as we are having dire shortage of signature keyboard + pen combo here in Kuwait. Hence, I opted to buy a Slim pen 2 & my daughter confirmed it as working as expected. She does digital art. Thank you for your recommendation.
