Hello,

I bought a Surface Pro 9 with Windows 11 Home (model i7, 16GB, 1TB ssd).

I upgrade Windows 11 Home to Windows 11 Pro.

Now, I need to download a recovery image from my Surface Pro 9 but the image is for Windows 11 Home.

How can I download a Windows 11 Pro recovery image? If I write my serial number only shows one download (home version).

Does Anyone have a serial number for a Surface Pro 9 with Windows 11 Pro?

The only solution is... installing the original recovery image and then upgrade to Pro version again?

Thank you so much and sorry for my english.

Regards!

    Hello Rafapadilla93,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I appreciate you raising this concern to us, and I understand the need to Reset your Surface. To answer your question:

After resetting your Surface Pro 9, you can upgrade to Windows 11 Pro again using your product key. Please note that you will need a valid product key for Windows 11 Pro to upgrade your Surface Pro 9 to this version. If you do not have a product key, you will need to purchase one from Microsoft or an authorized retailer.

    I hope this helps!

    Best regards,

    Rolando S.
