Cannot reset password on Surface pro

Hello,

I am not able to access my Surface Pro, nor able to reset password. When I click reset password, error message is to insert USB.

What to do next?

    I noticed that you are having some difficulty logging into your Surface Pro 8 and that you are prompted to plug in the USB when you click Reset Password.

    I'm sure you've reviewed what there is to know about resetting your device:

    But at this point, it may be more effective to reset your device with the help of a USB recovery drive to regain access.

    I will share with you the following steps:

    1. Create Recovery Drive: You need to create a USB recovery drive on another computer. You can visit the Surface Recovery Image Acquisition site to download the Surface recovery image and write it to the USB drive. Make sure that the USB drive is large enough, it needs to be at least 16GB.
    2. Insert Recovery Drive: Insert the created USB recovery drive into the USB port on your Surface Pro.
    3. To start Recovery Mode: Press and hold the Volume Down button while pressing the Power button. Continue to hold the Volume Down button until the Surface logo appears. At this point, the device should boot from the USB drive and enter Recovery Mode.
    4. Select Recovery Options: In Recovery Mode, select Troubleshooting > Recover from Drive > Fully Clean Drive. This will reset your Surface Pro and reinstall Windows.
