Microsoft Edge and Surface Pro 3 w/ Touchpad: javascript mousewheel event does not fire

Hello all,

A javascript project I am working on utilizes the mousewheel event. While this event works well with a mouse connected to a Microsoft Surface, it does not work with the Surface Touchpad scroll gesture.

I have tested this issue on Internet Explorer 10, 11 and now Edge. In Chrome, the mouse wheel and scroll gesture trigger the same event as expected.

Here is a small demo if someone has a Surface with the Touchpad and can test in Edge:

Thank you.

Lots of problems with the Surface Touchpad?  FWIW I am currently waiting for a restart for  W10sp1.  Wow.  So soon.  Otherwise, the Surface Trackpad app seems out of touch with reality.  The Trackpad is not in control of the pointer.  Or perhaps I need to disable my real mouse.   TBD.

With a real mouse wheel your page reports 120 and -120.  Anything else?
