Surface go and Minecraft Java edition

Question

Hi I’m looking at buying a second hand surface go (pentium gold, 8gb Ram, 128g SSD) for my 7 year old. He wants to play Minecraft Java edition with forge for mods. Will this be possible with the surface go? Also will it work while disconnected from the keyboard as a touch screen tablet. Thanks

However, I'm afraid that the variant of Surface Go you're trying to purchase does not meet the minimum requirements of running the Minecraft Java edition. Please see Minecraft Java Edition | Minecraft for its system requirements.

In this case, I'd suggest a Surface device which has a specs equivalent to minimum and recommended requirements.

Which surface produce would you suggest? It needs to run Minecraft and forge as a tablet as well as with the keyboard attached.

I'm sorry for the late response. I suggest checking out the new devices in the Official Home of Microsoft Surface PCs website which offers an updated version of Windows system and hardware specifications: Surface Pro 8.
