Hi,

My Surface laptop needs to be serviced. Whenever I start the online procedure for servicing i get “out of region policy”. I understand that my laptop was bought from a different  country than my current address but how can I solve this problem ? My laptop needs to be serviced.

    Hello Salmazahran,

Thank you for reaching out Microsoft Community. We'd like to inform you that if you currently lives in a country where Surface is not officially sold, there's no exchanges for devices because there are no support options offered (that is, there is no call center or a local service center available). If you have friends or family who lives in a launch country, they can set up the service on behalf of you. In this scenario, you have to send the device to and from the non-launch country to your friends or family in a launch country and then to the exchange center and back. Microsoft will only pay for shipping to and from the exchange center and an address in an official launch country. Unfortunately, there is NO option in a non-launch country to ship directly to an exchange center. I would also recommend that you contact Supportto check the replacement option in the nearest Launch Contry.

    Sincerely,
