The trackpad and light work perfectly and some letters work. Including b n m , p o I u delete

However the others don’t work. I have tried to troubleshoot but is not showing up on my settings. I have tried many things online. I cleaned out the pins and the connectors on the laptop and restarted my laptop so many times.

    Hello, Louis Lordet.

    Welcome to Microsoft Community!

I have noticed that your Surface Pro 7's keyboard is not working correctly when the keyboard is connected. What I would like to confirm with you here is whether all the keys in your on-screen keyboard are working properly?

If there is no problem with the on-screen keyboard, this is more likely a hardware issue originating from the Surface keyboard.

I am sure you have acquired the latest Windows updates and while incorrect or missing drivers can also cause the keys in the keyboard to not work, I would recommend that you also manually acquire the driver and firmware installer for your Surface Pro 7 to troubleshoot potential driver issues and maintain device performance:

Download Surface Pro 7 Drivers and Firmware from Official Microsoft Download Center

Please reboot your device after the download is complete to apply the driver update.

The above steps usually work if the problem stems from the driver.

If your problem persists, we will need to conduct further hardware investigation.

As I am not in a position to directly assist you in debugging your device, I recommend you to contact the Surface Technical Support team for more efficient hardware service.

I share with you the steps to create a service order here:

Open the Surface App (usually built into your Surface device, or you can download it from the Microsoft Store if you don't have one) and follow the procedure below:

    1. Click "Help and Support" and then click "Get Help".
    2. Briefly describe your problem in the text box, such as "Some keyboard keys do not work", and then press Enter.
    3. Click "Contact Support" at the bottom.
    4. Select "Technical Support" and click "Confirm".
    5. You will see "Chat support" and "phone support" options, please contact them during working hours, you will get one-to-one support services.

These are some of the information I can share with you now.

I wish you all the best.

    Best Regards.

Thank you very much for your reply, I downloaded the file and nothing happened, however a few hours had passed and for a few hours my keyboard was still not working however after disconecting it a few times to type with the on screenkeyboard the physical keyboard started to work again, the only key not working is the "Fn" light. I am not sure if the key it self works as I dont know how to use it but everything works fine.

Thank you for your reply and help, I am very glad my keyboard works again
