My surface Pro 8 is stuck at 0% battery

Question

My surface Pro 8's battery is stuck at 0% even when it's plugged in, when I plugged it out it died. I think this happened because of the newest windows 11 update. Help I still couldn't figure it out up till 2 days, I've tried all sorts of things such as resetting my whole PC etc but it still doesn't work?? Somebody please help I have an art competition due next week and I can't draw without my surface Pro 😭

1. Check the power adapter: Make sure that the power adapter is plugged in properly and that the LED light on the adapter is on. If the LED light is not on, try using a different power outlet.
2. Perform a hard reset: Press and hold the power button on your Surface Pro 8 for 30 seconds, then release it. Wait for a few seconds, then press the power button again to turn on your device.
3. Try turning the power connector over and plugging into the device from a different orientation.
4. Check for updates: Make sure that your Surface Pro 8 is up to date with the latest Windows updates. To check for updates, go to Settings > Windows Update>check for update.
5. Run the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit: Download and run the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit to check for any hardware issues with your device.
6. Download and install the driver pack on your Surface device. this will help us update the hardware and firmware.
7. If the charger lights up, and the device is not charging. possible there is an issue on the device or charging port or in the battery. It looks like its battery is broken.

Try some solutions above, if they failed, try to replace the battery.

If your warranty is remaining, you should contact surface device support.

They will replace the device for free.

If it is not, replace the battery.

1. by your own, on your own risk
2. try local computer repair shop. may charge 100 to 200$
3. Microsoft surface device support provides battery replacement service. It will charge 300~400$ according to your country.

Sorry for the late problem, I've tried the solutions above except for changing the battery since in my country they do not sell the battery for surface Pro 8 yet, however I am certain it is not the battery's problem since when I put it in safe mode, it was working properly, the battery did not die.

Thank you for your response. If the battery functions in safe mode, the subsequent step is to restore the Surface device to its default state using the recovery image. This image contains a fresh Windows operating system tailored specifically for your Surface device, allowing us to rule out any software-related issues.

To Download USB Recovery Image - http://aka.ms/sri    

REQUIREMENTS:

To ensure compatibility with your Surface device, it is recommended to use a USB flash drive with a minimum storage capacity of 16 GB to 32 GB and format it to FAT32. If the storage capacity exceeds 32 GB, it is not possible to format it to FAT32 as only XFAT and NTFS options are available. Please note that if a USB flash drive is formatted to XFAT or NTFS, it will not be detected on your Surface device.

NOTE: Creating a recovery drive will erase all existing files that are stored on the SSD drive. Make sure to transfer any important data on your USB flash drive to another storage device before you proceed.

Once the download is complete, create a folder on your desktop and rename it to ‘recovery’. Extract the recovery image to the folder you created on your desktop. After the extraction is complete, select all the files in the folder and copy and paste them directly to your USB flash drive. Do not copy the folder directly to the USB. Once the copying is done, remove the USB and connect it to your Surface.
