Pressure Sensitive Pen jumps to the top right corner - No fix anywhere to be seen.

So,

I've searched every forum and have seen this question posed, but I've never seen an answer that works so I'm trying here.  While using my pressure sensitive pen, it occasionally jumps to the top right hand side of the screen.  I've tried different pens.  I've tried different mice.  I've disabled mice & pens.  I've disabled touch screens.  I've re-installed drivers.  I've adjusted sensitivity of mice/pens.

I've been on several boards that say this started happening with the last Windows 10 update.  It started for me a few months ago and I've just been hoping to see a solution eventually figured out on one of the forums.  I've seen the same problem on Surface 3, Surface 4, and on the Canvas Z on forums.  It worked fine prior to this so it's not a hardware problem.

My computer is nearly unusable and I can't draw or edit photography using the pen.

The only solution I've found is to disable the HID-Compliant Pen in the Device Manager.  I've uninstalled it and it works for a bit and then slowly ramps up again to be unusable.  I've replace the other mice and replaced the pen...nothing has worked.

I'm assuming that since it's not everyone that I have some other software running that is causing the problem.  I'm not reformatting my computer and starting over.  That's a giant waste of a day...please don't suggest it.  Any ideas of what programs/tasks would cause problems with a Pen driver?  I found a solution via YouTube when this first started happening that suggested stopping a specific service.  I can't find that link anymore, but it seemed to work at that time, but I don't remember which one to make it permanent.

Thank you for your help.

    Hi Damon,

It is possible that the pen settings may not be set up appropriately or a possible driver issue.

Here are few things you can do:

    • Run the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit might help resolve the issue. The toolkit runs through a series of tests to diagnose your Surface device. The diagnosis and repair time averages 15 minutes or less, but can take an hour or longer. This will also download the latest updates for your device. Please click here for more information about the toolkit.
    • Use the Surface App to test the pressure sensitivity. In the Surface App, click on the "Pen" icon, and follow the onscreen instructions to adjust the pen sensitivity.
    • Download the WInTab driver. Click here to download the driver.

Let us know if you need further assistance.
